Tender Slow Cooker Chicken Breasts with Rich Gravy

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Sear the Chicken (Optional):

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden. This step enhances flavor but can be skipped for convenience.

Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker:

Place chicken in the slow cooker.

Add chopped onion, garlic, chicken broth, and thyme.

Cook:

Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.

Make the Gravy:

Remove chicken and set aside.

In a small bowl, mix flour with ¼ cup cold water until smooth.

Stir into the slow cooker liquid and cook on high for 10–15 minutes until thickened.

Serve:

Pour the gravy over the chicken breasts.

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
