In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
Mix with cream cheese:
In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage and softened cream cheese. Stir until well blended.
Prepare the crescent rolls:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Fill and roll:
Spoon a portion of the sausage-cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, forming crescents.
Bake:
Place the crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Optional topping:
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the crescents during the last 2 minutes of baking for an extra cheesy touch.
