Homemade Philly Cheesesteak: Juicy, Cheesy, and Irresistible

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the melted butter.

Sauté the chopped onions and green bell pepper until they’re soft and lightly caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.

Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. Warm the Beef

In the same skillet, add the thin slices of roasted beef.

Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is heated through.

Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

3. Assemble the Sandwiches

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you want the sandwiches extra melty.

Layer provolone cheese over the hot beef slices in the skillet. Let it melt slightly.

Split the hoagie rolls and toast them lightly if desired.

Place the beef and melted cheese onto each roll, then top with the sautéed onions and peppers.

4. Serve

Serve immediately while warm, optionally with mayonnaise, hot sauce, or pickles.
