Homemade Bread You’ll Never Buy Again

In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Mix Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough:
Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Loaf:
Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased baking tin or on a baking tray.

Second Rise:
Cover and let it rise again for 30–45 minutes until slightly puffed.

Bake:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.

Cool and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy the warm, fresh bread!
