Decadent Layered Chocolate Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Beat the eggs with sugar until creamy.

Add milk and vegetable oil, mixing well.

Sift in cocoa, flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased or lined cake pan and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.

2. Prepare the Cream

In a saucepan, combine milk, flour, cocoa, and sugar.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens.

Remove from heat and add dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.

Once slightly cooled, mix in vanilla extract and optional whipped cream. Beat until creamy.

3. Assemble the Cake

Cut the cooled cake horizontally into two layers.

Spread a generous layer of chocolate cream between the cake layers.

4. Prepare the Ganache

Heat the cream in a small saucepan until it begins to simmer.

Remove from heat and add chocolate. Stir until fully melted and smooth.

Pour the ganache over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides.

5. Decorate

Finish with chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or fresh strawberries for a beautiful presentation.
