Thicken: Slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture while stirring constantly. Continue cooking and stirring until the milk thickens to a pudding-like consistency (about 5–7 minutes).
Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (or your chosen flavor).
Set: Pour into serving bowls or cups. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours until chilled.
