Classic Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Carrots, and Peas

1. Make the Meatballs

In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Shape into 1-inch meatballs.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

2. Prepare the Gravy

In the same pan, melt butter and stir in flour to create a roux.

Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth and thickened.

Season with salt, pepper, and optional Worcestershire sauce or onion powder.

Return meatballs to the pan and simmer for 5–10 minutes to coat them in gravy.

3. Make the Mashed Potatoes

Boil potatoes in salted water until tender.

Drain and mash with butter and milk. Season to taste.
