Prepare the Oven and Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Add Wet Ingredients
Stir in eggs, vanilla extract, and the entire can of crushed pineapple (with juice).
Mix until well combined. The batter will be slightly thick and moist.
Bake the Cake
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Frost (Optional)
Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
To make frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until fluffy. Spread evenly over cooled cake.
