Last night we found this in our bed and my husband and I are freaking out. A couple of days ago, we spotted something thing on my kid’s clothes. What is it? How do we get rid of them?

Wash and Heat-Dry Bedding and Clothing:

Use hot water and the highest heat dryer setting.

Vacuum Thoroughly:

Focus on mattresses, bed frames, carpets, baseboards, and furniture. Dispose of the vacuum bag or contents immediately.

Encase Mattress and Pillows:

Use bed bug-proof covers to trap any remaining bugs.

Declutter Your Home:

Reduce hiding spots for bed bugs, especially near the bed.

Inspect Furniture and Cracks:

Check seams, joints, and behind headboards.

Professional Help

Bed bugs are notoriously hard to eliminate completely on your own. Contact a licensed pest control professional for an effective treatment plan. They may use heat treatment, insecticides, or a combination.

Prevent Reinfestation

Avoid bringing in used mattresses or furniture without inspection.

Regularly wash and heat-dry bedding.

Monitor for any bites or signs of bed bugs after travel.
