Switch off the breaker for the outlet you’ll work on.
Double-check with a lamp or outlet tester to ensure no electricity is flowing.

Use a screwdriver to unscrew the cover plate.
Most paint is usually on the cover, not the outlet itself.
3. Clean the Cover
Soak the cover in warm, soapy water. For stubborn paint, use vinegar.
Gently scrape the paint off with a razor blade.
