Make the glaze:
In a bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, lime zest, soy sauce, garlic, and chili flakes (if using). Set aside.
Prepare the salmon:
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
Season lightly with salt & black pepper.
Sear the salmon:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Place salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook 3–4 minutes until skin is crispy.
Flip and cook the other side 2–3 minutes.
