Rinse the onion peels gently to remove any dirt.
Bring 2–3 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Add the peels and simmer for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and allow the tea to steep for an additional 10 minutes.
Strain the tea into a cup. Add lemon or honey if desired.
Drink 1 cup per day, preferably in the evening or after meals. Start with small amounts to see how your body responds.
