Here are two popular ways to restart growth:
A. Water Culture Method
Place the orchid in a clear glass with just enough water to cover the roots.
Let the roots sit in water for 2–3 days, then leave them to dry for 1–2 days.
Repeat this cycle until new leaves or root tips appear.
B. Sphagnum Moss Method
Wrap healthy roots loosely in damp sphagnum moss.
Place the orchid in a small clear pot for airflow.
Keep moss lightly moist, not soggy.
Both methods create the humidity orchids need to regrow.
Step 4: Provide the Right Conditions
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight (near an east-facing window works well).
Temperature: Keep between 65–75°F (18–24°C).
Humidity: Orchids love 50–70% humidity. Use a tray with water and pebbles or a humidifier.
Airflow: Good circulation prevents fungal problems.
Step 5: Be Patient
