Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Cook bacon slices until nearly crisp, about 6–8 minutes.
Brush both sides of the bacon with BBQ sauce and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
2. Toast the Buns
Spread a little butter on the cut sides of the buns.
Toast in a skillet over medium heat until golden and slightly crisp.
3. Assemble the Sandwiches
Place the bottom bun on a plate and spread 1 tbsp ranch dressing on it.
Layer with 4 slices of bacon, 2 slices of tomato, a generous handful of shredded lettuce, and 1 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese.
Drizzle a little more ranch dressing on top.
Place the top bun on the sandwich and serve immediately.
